PEOPLES

Institute of the Rights of Peoples was founded in 2003 on the basis of Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO) Tartu Coordination Office.

The aims of the Institute are:

  1. study of the problems of the rights of peoples as historically and territorially developed human populations and subjects of international law, as well as reporting these studies to the public;

  2. drafting of basic legal documents related to the rights of peoples, initiation of their discussion and adoption by the relevant institutions of states and international organisations.
Institute of the Rights of Peoples also continues to perform the functions of UNPO Tartu Coordination Office, although it is not directly subordinated to UNPO.

 

Linnart Mäll, director of the Institute of the Rights of Peoples, passed away on February 14th after a long battle with disease. In memoriam Linnart Mäll.
